About Us .....

Collectable Cameras is a specialist dealer in real photographic equipment, run by husband and wife team Simon and Julie Chesterman.

Our involvement in cameras stemmed from Simon being given a vintage camera in pieces by his father, Robert, at the age of 12 and tinkering with it. A couple of box and folding cameras from the attic were added, and a lifelong interest was sparked! Finally obsession gave way to good sense and our business was launched.

We have been trading full time since 2001

Simon runs the equipment sales and purchase side of the business, and Julie looks after the accounts and juggles the telephone in between raising our three children, Matthew, William and Harvey. If you call and it sounds like a circus in the background, it is usually the children playing loudly. When they are old enough, we will make them all apologise in person to every caller!
