Emil Busch's Vademecum Set No.II, Complete Casket set with 7 Elements etc

A really nice Emil Busch Vademecum (Vade Mecum) Casket set no.II

Very complete; There are 7 elements, two extension rings, the lens holder / Iris diaphragm barrel, five drop in filters and the leather front cap.

These are all contained within the original leather casket case.

Also included are the original instruction card and some hand written notes and tables.

Elements included in the set are; 15, 25, 35, 45, 55, 65 and 75

This allows 29 different combinations in focal length from 4 inches up to 30 inches.

There are a set of slide in Orthochromatic screens .

There is a HUGE range of different coverage from these combinations;

The very shortest focus covers 4"x3" whereas the longest almost 30 inch focal length will cover 24"x30"

This is a most versatile set, with almost unlimited application and appeal to the user.

The instructions and notes between them guide the user to every focal length combination and image coverage data so there is no trial and error required.

Condition is excellent for the age. The elements are all clean and clear, no fungus or obvious scratches etc.

The iris is smooth and easy to operate and read.

Everything assembles and dismantles as intended with no thread damage etc.

I don't have the correct mounting flange.

The original case is in solid condition, the interior is really good whilst the exterior is good but with signs of wear, although the original gilded embossing is easy to read.

Approximate dimensions;

Barrel diameter 38mm

Cell thread size 37mm

Mounting thread 44mm

Overall length with two spacers and two elements fitted 52mm

overall size of casket 152mm x 66mm

A lovely item to collect or, especially for the wet plate enthusiast, to use and enjoy.
